The National Center of Excellence on SMART Innovations works with academic and industrial researchers operating on the cutting-edge of technology. We bring together leaders from industry, academia, and government to advance technology-based solutions that lead to economic growth and a cleaner environment in support of an urbanizing world. This website is designed to provide regularly updated material to keep up with the fast pace of our progress.
Housed in our newly constructed, state of the art facility, the National Center of Excellence draws transdisciplinary faculty, researchers and students at Arizona State University-Tempe, the nation’s largest campus. Because we live and work in an ever globalizing environment, the NCE partners with other leading researchers from Kings College London, the University of Cambridge, Tec de Monterrey, Indian Institute of Technology-Delhi, MIT and the University of Cape Town to provide students, faculty, industry and government with a unique range of educational and research opportunities.
