International Expert Joins the NCE
Dr. Serji Amirkhanian joins ASU as an Adjunct Professor with the School of Sustainable Engineering & the Built Environment. Dr. Amirkhanian was the Mays Professor of Transportation and the Director of the Asphalt Rubber Technology Service (ARTS) in the Department of Civil Engineering at Clemson University until June 2010. Serji also joins the NCE as a Senior Research Scientist. His expertise is in sustainable recycled construction materials. Dr. Amirkhanian’s other significant activities includes: the Director of Research and Development for Phoenix Industries of Las Vegas, Director of Research and Development for AET Robotics and Inspection Services of Clemson, Guest Professor at Wuhan University of Technology at Wuhan in China, and consulting work for the World Bank. He has conducted over 200 presentations in the USA and around the world presenting his research findings.
